Product catalogue with WhatsApp orders: a simple store alternative
If your customers prefer to order in a chat, a product catalogue shows everything with its price, and the "Order on WhatsApp" button opens a ready chat with the product’s name and link.
Not every business needs a cart and online payment. The restaurant that takes orders by phone, the supplier who agrees quantities, the furniture showroom that arranges delivery with each customer: they all need something simpler. Customers see the products and prices, then message them. That is what the Tansik product catalogue does.
Catalogue or store?
The difference is clear:
- A catalogue shows your products and prices, and customers order on WhatsApp or by phone.
- An online store adds a cart, checkout and payments: cash on delivery, bank transfer or card.
A site runs one or the other. Start with the catalogue if your orders need a conversation or a confirmation before the sale, or if you are not ready to connect payments and shipping. When you are, turn on the online store on a plan that includes it, and the same products get a cart and checkout without entering them again.
Add and arrange your products
Each product has its pictures, description, options and price, in the currency you choose in the site settings. Group products into categories, and drag them into the order you want.
If you already have a list, import it from an Excel or CSV file, from a file you exported from Salla, Zid or Shopify, or straight from a Shopify store link. And everything is in Arabic and English if your site has both languages.
An "Order on WhatsApp" button on every product
When the customer taps the button, a WhatsApp chat with your number opens with a ready message: "Hello, I'd like to order:" followed by the product's name and the link to its page. So you know from the first message what the customer wants, without asking which product they mean.
If you haven't added a WhatsApp number to your contact details, the button becomes "Call to order" with your phone number, and with no number at all it becomes "Contact us to order" and opens your contact page.
Let the assistant reply for you
Orders on WhatsApp mean a lot of chats. If you link your number to the Tansik WhatsApp assistant, it answers your customers from your own number about products, prices, delivery and opening hours, in Arabic and English, and hands the chat to you whenever you want or when it doesn't know the answer. See the WhatsApp assistant page and our article on WhatsApp auto replies.
For quotes and bulk orders, add a form with the fields you need, and replies land in one inbox with an email and WhatsApp alert.
Know what works
Every tap on the WhatsApp or call button is counted in your site analytics, along with your visitors, their sources and the pages they viewed. So you know which products start conversations and which campaigns bring visitors. If you advertise on Google, Meta, TikTok or Snapchat, these taps can be sent to your ads platforms so you know which ad brought the customer. Read our article on the analytics dashboard.
Get your products seen
- Product feeds for ads platforms: links with your products for Google Merchant, Meta, TikTok and Snapchat that update when you change your products.
- Search descriptions written with AI: the assistant writes search descriptions for your pages and alt text for your images, and you review them before they go live.
- Fast pages on every device, and a sitemap for search engines.
