Online classes: booking over Zoom or Google Meet, with trial classes and prepayment
Choose where each course meets (Zoom, Google Meet or a fixed link), set how many free trial classes each student gets and how long they are, and take payment before the booking.
If you teach online you know the routine: a student books, you send the meeting link by hand, you chase the payment in another chat, and you try to remember whether they already had their free class. On Tansik all of this lives in the bookings system itself, set per course.
Choose where each course meets
In the booking settings, open "Options" under any course and choose where its classes take place:
- In person: no link; the booking shows its time and branch as usual.
- Google Meet: once Google Calendar is connected, every confirmed booking gets its own Meet link, lands in your calendar, and the customer gets an email invitation.
- Zoom: connect your academy's own Zoom account once, and every confirmed booking gets its own meeting at its time and length. Cancelling the booking deletes the meeting.
- A fixed link: if you have a permanent room (Zoom, Meet or Teams), paste its link; the customer sees it once their booking is confirmed.
The customer sees a "Join" button on their booking page, named after the right platform, so nobody digs through messages for the link.
Trial classes: how many, and how long
Many academies start with a free class. On Tansik you set, for each course:
- How many free trial classes each student gets, from one to ten.
- How long a trial class is: it can be 20 minutes while a regular class is 45.
On the booking page the student chooses "Free trial class" or "Regular class", and the free times are worked out for the length they picked. Students are recognised by their WhatsApp number or email, so once they have used their trial classes for that course they see a clear message instead of booking another free one.
Your site's course cards show this on their own: "2 free trial classes · 20 min", the class length, and where it meets (Zoom or Google Meet). You can hide any of these in the section settings.
Book a time, or register for the course?
Not every course is booked by the hour. For a long memorisation programme it is enough that the student registers and you contact them to arrange a timetable. So each course has a way of asking:
- Book a time: the student picks a day and time from your free hours.
- Register for the course: they send their details and the answers to your questions (their level, a male or female teacher…) with no time, and the request reaches your bookings marked "Registration".
Payment before the booking
If you turn on card payments in the store settings with your Moyasar account, any course can be "prepaid" with its own price. Then:
- After picking a time, the student goes straight to the payment page.
- The time is held for 30 minutes while they pay, then released if they don't.
- You only hear about the booking once it is paid, so unpaid requests don't take your attention.
- Trial classes are never charged, even on a prepaid course.
The money goes straight to your Moyasar account; Tansik never holds it.
One page tells the student everything
After booking, the student gets a link to their booking page: the time, the status, the button to join the class, a "Pay now" button if they haven't finished paying, and a way to cancel within the notice you set. You can also confirm their WhatsApp number with a code before the booking is made.
Get started
If your academy is on Tansik, open Bookings, then Settings, and set the options for each course. If you haven't started yet, the Academies theme is ready for Quran centres, institutes and language tutors; see solutions for education.
Questions
Do I need a paid Zoom account?
Any Zoom account that can schedule meetings works. Meeting length and the number of participants follow your Zoom plan.
Can a student have more than one trial class?
Yes. You set the number per course, from one to ten. Students are recognised by their WhatsApp number or email.
Where does the money go on prepaid courses?
Straight to your Moyasar account. Tansik never receives or holds the payments.
Start your site on Tansik and turn on what you read about from your dashboard.
